Day Twenty Nine

"Something you could never get tired of doing."

Listening to music! I can do this all the time if I wanted to :P

Day Twenty Eight

"Your favorite movie."

Err this is not really a movie, instead it was a serial. But I really really loved this one. I already watched this three times or even more! This is still my favorite among all other TV series :D

The Christmas Song

Planned to post this post while I was taking my shower and I also planned to put this picture in this post. Who knows that Jane also already put this picture in her post "Merry Christmas". Haha toss for thinking the same, Jane *wink

This picture was taken during the Christmas party held on our friends' COOL last Wednesday. I really really loved this picture because it is soo cute :3

Many great things happened this day. Such a special Christmas! Today me and friends went to Baiyun Mountain and had lotsa fun there. Many laughs and smiles and also tears (:P) haha. Beside of celebrating Christmas, on this day there were also some other special things that happened today. They were Dad and Mom's wedding anniversary, Natalie's birthday and Super Junior's Christmas Concert in Guangzhou!

Eventhough today is quite tiring, but I did enjoy this day. So much.

The other thing I really love about this Christmas : Christmas presents! I never got sooo many presents before. This year many great friends gave me great gifts. A cute small backpacks from Felly, "FAITH" phone straps from Ko Darius, pig doll from Ko Andi, new baby DOMO from Albert (who talks! :D), jacket from Sian, and sooo many other special things. I really love this Christmas <333

Well well, maybe this is enough for today. I want to wish you all HAPPY CHRISTMAS :)

Ahem. About the "30 Days Blog Challenge", I have to admit that I failed. It is almost two weeks since I did not continue the challenge. But there were just three more challenges to go so I guess I'm gonna finish them. I promised #fingercrossed :P

Day Twenty Seven

"A picture of you last year and now and how have you changed since then?"

Taken last year, during the movie-shoot of our last year's christmas event "KADO" and I guess nothing really changed about me :P

Gonna Meet Him Soon

Gueeeeessssss what!

I am going to see Jay Zhou L-I-V-E !

I finally bought the ticket of his concert in January 15, 2010 and I am sooooo freaking excited about this. This has become my dream for so long and now it is going to be true! Maybe this is what people called dream comes true.

When I bought the ticket, after I paid the money, a young lady came and ask the ticket-person about the ticket, whether they really sold the real ticket, where she is going to be seated when she bought ticket and so on and so on. At last she said, "Fine then. Give me two of 1680 RMB priced ticket." And I was like, "OMG. Even me and three friends of mine's tickets can not afford one 1680 ticket". For your information, we bought the 380 RMB ones. And it is already sooooo expensive for me.

Whatever. I am going to meet my boy soon <3

Day Twenty Five

"What’s in your purse?"

Lalala just because I am too lazy to post picture today, so I am just going to tell. The things in my purse wallet are money, some payment receipts, Domo-kun card sticker, ATM, my Indonesian identity card, my student card, etc etc etc etc :P

Shane Love

Look at that handsome little guy! He is Shane, my nephew. Been tagged by Johan, my cousin (the man beside Shane) and I can't stand not to post this picture of Shane. Ahhh I miss him sooo <3

I miss you, rainbows! Haha. I am sorry for my being late for the 23rd post of the blog challenge. I have been sooooo busy for The One.

And guess what? It is finally oveeeeer! I am so glad about that. I feel like flying when I walk because my footsteps are so light. No more pressure at last!

Now I am so ready to continue the challenge and it is already going to be the 24th post, which means seven more posts to go before finishing the challenges.

Speaking truthfully, I began to feel bored about the challenge, but anyway, got to finish what I already started. Haha. So jiayoouuu :D

Finally, finally I went to Guangzhou's cinema. After almost one and a half year here, never once been to a movie, and Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows is my first here :D

I am not a big fan of Harry Potter, but I watched all the series of the movies (except the Goblet Fire one) and in my opinion they are all good.

Rupert did well here. He looked so "man" here. Haha. I loved him way more than Daniel. And Emma is awesome. Can't believe how she looks so beautiful in every single scene in the movie :3

Lalala can't wait for part two then~

Day Twenty Three

"15 facts about you."

(1)   Blue is my favorite color above all.

(2)   When I eat, I tend to eat the food which I don't like first, then at the end eat the one I like more. Save the best for the last :D

(3)   My highschool friends used to call me "Japang" for that I used to be the only Chinese girl at class. Err well there were two Chinese girls at class but I am the only one who got that "nickname". (Japang refers to Jepang in Indonesian, which mean Japan in English. Well Chinese and Japanese had the same small eyes :P)

(4)   I now live with three roommates at the dorm and our room number is 309 :D

(5)   I hate liars, so I always tried as hard as I can to keep the promises I gave to the people around me (well sometimes I also go wrong because yeah nobody's perfect).

(6)   Jay Zhou is still my favorite until now. Well I used to hate him so much when I was in junior high school. (Haha ini namanya benci jadi cinta :P)

(7)   Dad told me that I used to be a very bad little girl that Dad and Mom always punished me way harder than my elder brother and younger sister. But I am now a very good girl, right Dad? :D

(8)   When I become a fan of a song, I tend to listen to the same song every single time. Every day, until I get bored with the song. I used to listen to 说谎 for more than a month, every day! (And my friends were getting sick of me playing that song :P)

(9)   People like to call me a tomboy but in my very own opininion, I am a neutral. I am not girly and I am not a tomboy as well.

(10) I don't know if this is a fact or not, but I used my brain more than heart. I mean, I often used logic more than I used feeling. Logic is almost always better than feeling is.

(11) When I am feeling like talking, it's like nobody can't stop me to, but when I don't feel like talking to anybody, nobody will make me do.

(12) I prefer chicken to any other cooked meat, but I eat anything served on the table. But I am more like carnivore than omnivore :P

(13) I found myself gets bored so quickly. About anything. Anything.

(14) Just like Mom, I prefer sleeping to eating.

(15) I spent almost an hour thinking about these 15 facts :P

Stars Tonight

It's been so long since the last time I spent night like this. Sitting on my desk, working on my Chinese Craft project, and nothing else to do. And the other thing that happened this night that I haven't felt for very long time, I felt so mellow. Haha. I also missed this mellow side of me.

Was doing nothing that I facebook-ed and saw some pictures of my old church fellowship-mates, my old Sunday school's kids and everyone. They are now preparing for Christmas. The kids were wearing their cute costumes. They are going to sing and dance. I really missed celebrating Christmas with them. I hate it when I knew that I was no longer part of them. I don't even matter anymore.

Anyway, I still have to prepare myself for Christmas. The celebration is 2 more days to go! I hope nothing everything is now well-prepared and I missed nothing for the preparation *hope so*.

By the way, winter has really come to Guangzhou! Ahhhh I don't even like winter. I have to wear too many clothes and still feeling cold. Hope this winter won't be too cold.

PS. I already have my list of my new year's resolutions. Have you made yours? :)

Day Twenty

"The meaning behind your blog name."

I mentioned about this at About The Blog page and Chasing The Rainbow post, but since those two were written in Bahasa Indonesia, I will explained this in a simpler way.

The reason why I chosed Chasing The Rainbow as my blog name is simply because I really love rainbows. My friends know that I like to draw rainbows (even though my drawing skill sucks :P) and I really love to see anything with rainbow on it.

Next, I symbolized rainbow as the happy thing that happen in my life. Happiness. The word chasing itself came from my random thoughts. I  tried to think about the best word that would match my blog title, then chasing came to my mind and I thought, "Hey, that word is good." and I decided to put Chasing The Rainbow as my blog title.

Later I googled and put "Chasing The Rainbow" as the keywords and found out that Chasing The Rainbow is a kind of English idiom which means trying to achieve something that is not possible or practical.

Well, I defined my own rainbow :)

Day Nineteen

"Another picture of yourself."

Yeay my profile picture!
(last year when I haven't gained these fats :P)

Safe Ride

This is the main reason why I hate winter. I am now gaining weight! 4 pounds in less than a week (and now even was not winter yet!). What is Mom going to say about this?

Today is already five. It means I just have five more days before The One. Well actually I do not have too many things to be prepared now, but I am just still nervous about this. I hope hope hope everything will be okay.

The next thing, exam is coming soon and I really do not know what should I do. But what always happened when it gets to the exam season, I always kept thinking more about going back to Indonesia instead of thinking about exams. Another thing I should be prepared to.

Exam's coming, means a new semester is coming too. Oh, new year's also coming. I wonder what will happen next year. Ehm I am now starting to think about new year's resolution. This time I have to do better!

I chatted with Mom this afternoon and what I know is, I miss her so much. Can't wait to be home and cooked her my new recipes. By the way, I am going to try cooking spaghetti. Haha. My bolognaise will be the best ever :P

PS. Mom told me to find her and Dad tickets to Guangzhou and I am now searching for it. I hope they really are coming next year.

It Stops Today

Just a quick news, I am not going to be the volunteer of Asian Para Games anymore. I was called to have a training yesterday night, but when I got there, my name wasn't on list of the volunteers who were being trained  that they told me, if my name was not at the list, that means I am going to be volunteer of the opening and closing ceremony of the games, not at the games. Got the point?

So here came the problem. Opening will be on December 12th, which means at 10th or 11th we MUST have another trainings to prepare ourselves, while The One is on 11th and I am going to have so much preparation to that. I am sure that if I accepted to become volunteer, I won't be able to do both well. I gotta choose one.

Feeling sad? Yes I actually did, a little. I already imagined myself wearing a full set of volunteer's  uniform (not just a cap and a vest) and looking at the great athletes competing. Beside, later I am going to hear my friends, telling about their experiences and being angry of whatever went wrong at the competition, how the food were so not-delicious, everything. And I will just be listening.

What can I do? I got to have my priority, and I prioritized The One.

Will I regret? Nope. I am sure this is the best decision. I am doing the right thing. Well I hope what I already sacrificed will get the payment. Hope that The One will work smoothly, just like what we are always hoping.

I am going to get other great chances, later :)

Day Fifteen

"Something you don’t leave the house without."

Slippers or shoes. Definitely.

Presenting November

Wohh a new month! November was fine, but not as great as what I expected. October was better, really. This November gave many pressures for me, duties to be done and so on. Well, as usual, let's have a recap on what I have done in November *checking journal*

1. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall - November 2, 2010
Going to this historical place with Felly, Ko Aho and Ko Indra. Doing nothing but taking some pictures and then we escaped from this place then heading to the nearest restaurant because Felly and I was starving there. Right after that, we also went to Shang Xia Jiu Street and we took the "free" monorail trip (the transportation was free during the days before Asian Games that time) and I almost couldn't breath because of those people. By the way, I mentioned this place at this post.

2. Goodbye Koko - November 3, 2010
I had to say goodbye to two friends of mine, who were going back to Indonesia. I was so sad when they have to go back. I already missed them since the very first day they left. And I even dreamed about them haha! Well, I guess I will see you soon, Ko :)

3. Asian Games 2010 Volunteer
Okay, this is the biggest thing I did in November. Being a volunteer taught me so many things, made me meet so many new people and so many new experiences. I also met Bapak Agum, saw Taufik Hidayat and so many other people. Tiring, but worth the experiences :)

Those are the most unforgettable things I did in November. See, not so many things I did, but yet those are so tiring. Now, welcoming the December, a simple list of what I am going to do in December. Here they go :

1. The One - December 11th, 2010
GBI Guangzhou Christmas Celebration. I manage this event, like what we are going to do in this event and this event is really getting me nervous. I keep counting the days to this event and I hope everything is going to be great. Well this is not our time to show off, but it is the time for HIM :)

2. Hongkong Disneyland
Yeay I am going to Disneyland! Planned to go on December 23rd. Well I don't really want to go to Disneyland because I am craving for another thing, but my friend kept asking me to go. I thought Mom wouldn't let me go, but she did! I just chatted with her and without any compromise, she let me go and she even told me to buy her gifts from there. I love you Mom <3

3. Dad Mom's Wedding Anniversary - December 25th
Yes, right on Christmas day. This is going to be their 21th anniversary. I planned to do something sweet for them, but I still do not know what to do. Got some ideas, but don't know if it is gonna work.

4. Asian Para Games 2010
Ahhh I almost forgot this one. I am also going to be a volunteer of Asian Para Games. For those who don't know what this event is, this event is almost the same with Asian Games. A sport event, but this event is for the handicapped people. I hope I will work better for this event and I hope the management of this event is better than Asian Games, because there were still some flaws on the game before. Good luck :)

Not much of what I am going to do, but I hope this December will be great, just like the other older months. Yeay, happy go lucky!

Day Fourteen

"A TV show you’re currently addicted to."

I am not really addicted to this but this show of Jay Zhou is really funny. You can see the real side of Jay and before seeing this I never knew that Jay can also be a MC and he is doing really great. See, my boy man is so multi-talented <3

Waaaa I finally got my Letter of Admission to the 16th Asian Games Volunteer Programme Venue Volunteer. I am so happy about it. I also got some new badges, and a very cute volunteer key-chain. He is so handsome yet cute. Meet him now :D

Cute, isn't he? By the way I am now downloading some Christmas-themed songs like Santa Baby and Last Christmas but my download speed is sooooooo slow. Hope it will get faster. Oh, me and roommates are going to have our Christmas tree. I am so waiting for the little tree :3

Mini Mate Diary

Yeay a new friend of mine! I bought myself a new mini-mate-diary (that is what she called herself) and I love this new friend. She has so many cute things inside her. Well, I did not really need this thing, but I already planned to get myself a diary, so this sin is forgivable :P

Well today I supposed to have a kind of holiday because I only had one class today from 8 to 10 and I planned to go to buy things, after that going back to dorm and get a nice afternoon nap. But I at last did not because I was at Yidelu until 6 pm, buying so many things that we need for Christmas celebration.

I ate a lot for lunch. A-L-O-T. After having lunch at Meity's house, me, Natalie and also Meity went to West Holiday, getting some tickets and after that we took the bus right away to Yidelu.

Guess what, just after we got there, we went straight to KFC and ate again! And what even worse is, we bought a party-meal set (which had sooooo many chickens inside) and we ate those all. I really should stop this eating-disorder habit :P

Look at these two evil girls who ate those poor chickens. Haha. I did not have any dinner today, just so that I will be able to forgive myself for this kind of guilty pleasure.

Actually I am not supposed to be blogging now. I am going to have a test tomorrow and I have not studied anything. Beside, tomorrow I also have to do the sharing thing at COOL and I haven't prepared yet.

The countdown. Christmas celebration "THE ONE" is 11 days to go. Jiayooouuu!

By the way, today is the last day of November. When November started, I told him to be good to me, but he did not act that good, so I wished December will do well. What about you? What are you hoping for this December? Remember, it will be the last month of 2010. Happy go lucky, guys!

Wait, what am I still doing here? BELAJAR SAS!

Day Twelve

"A photograph of the town you live in."

I actually planned to put Guangzhou Tower to this question, but later I thought now everybody keeps paying attention on that skinny tower. So I changed my mind and put my choice on this building. This is Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall.

Do not ask me who Sun Yat Sen really is, because I am not really sure about it. I went to this place, taking about half an hour bus trip, got there, taking pictures for about five minutes, and then go home because we do not know what to do here. I am not so sure about what this place is for, but what I know is they used this place for any exhibitions, and also for concerts. When I came there, I saw a poster that said Air Supply was going to have a concert there.

December is already in front of my eyes and I can see her waving hello at me. Me personally is not ready yet for her coming. Christmas celebration is 12 days to go.

Good luck Sas! Keep praying, do the best and let HIM do the rest :)

Day Eleven

"What’s in your makeup bag?"
PASS. Another question I am gonna skip. I do not do makeups and I do not have any makeup bag. Not even one. Yes of course, I am still a girl, but again I don't do makeups. No other explanations.

One World One Dream

What do you see in this picture? Well, what I see is a superhuman. A person who struggles for her life even though she is a little bit different from the other people. But actually, she is not different from us. We are all the same. We all lived in the same world, we all lived in the same dream.

Today I got a very lucky opportunity to go to a special school. It was the school for the disabled people. The reason why I went there is to have a training of Asian Para Games 2010 Volunteer. Oh, I haven't tell, maybe I am going to be a volunteer again for the Asian Para Games. But I am not so sure yet.

The school is almost the same with a common school. In fact, it was exactly the same. They have classrooms, sports courts, canteen and whatsoever you got at school.

The Teaching Building

The Sports Court. Look at the wall's painting. Cool huh?

I don't know what this room is, but it looks like a place to make garments and clothes. I wonder if they produce their own clothes or what. By the way, at the training, they also gave us a try on how to play basketball, using a wheelchair. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to do it, but I saw some of other volunteers trying, and it looks difficult.

There was many boards at the wall of the hall where we had the training, and guess what's on the boards? It was all sticky notes! I really love to see it! The sticky notes were the notes which the volunteers wrote for the Asian Para Games, or maybe the athletes. It was soooo beautiful (well, at least for me :P).

Dare to try once?

Well, that was my very precious trip to this special school. I today learned how to appreciate my life, for all the great things God has given for me. Today God let me see so many great people. They who really really are super, they who kept fighting for life.

I wished all the best for Guangzhou Asian Para Games 2010, and for all of the athletes, you are all the best. Even before competing, you are all already the winners. Go get gold!

Day Ten

"A photo of your favorite place to eat."

Well this is not exactly a photo of my favorite place to eat, but at least this is a photo we took at our favorite place to eat. Yeap, this is Ma La Tang! Located at the public market, and we always love to eat this, even though this foof is also kinda junk food, but we still love it, also for being cheap haha. Bravo Malatang Club :P

Tiramisu Milk Tea

Who doesn't love holiday? Not me, of course. I thought yesterday was the day of Asian Games 2010 Closing Ceremony so they gave us a day off. Later I found out that today is. Whatever, as long as I still got my holiday :P

I always knew that I am now fat enough, but still, I spent my holiday going to several places, just to find something to eat. I should really stop this habit. Me, Felly and Ko Kurnia went to Bejinglu Pedestrian Street to eat meatballs and the meatballs were soooooo yummy haha. Decided not to do sightseeing there after that, because there were too many people there (this is why I hate going out on holidays). After that, we headed straight to Shipai Street by taking the monorail and some walks, then stopped at a nice small cafe, Ceteler.

Ko Kurnia always told me that this cafe has the best Tiramisu Milk Tea, so I decided to try one. Felly ordered Cold French Chocolate, while Ko Kurnia, still with his favorite Tiramisu.

The Tiramisu was good as what Ko Kurnia has always told me. Felly was happy with hers too. She said that her chocolate drink was super good with her happy face. Haha. Cutie her :3

By the way, the picture of three of us was taken by the owner of this cafe. He was really a nice old man. He told us that he has been to Bali and he always wanted to talk with us. But poor this old man, when he took this picture, his head hit his own serving bar table. Lucky him for not getting hurt.

What do you think about this letter? No, this is not just a common letter. Inside, you will find an invitation of our Christmas Celebration that will be held on December 11th 2010. Me and several friends spent quite a long time, cutting and folding these letters. There were 700 letters, all hand-done.

This event is really making me nervous. I still got plenty of things to be done for this event, while time is no longer that much. I wished I will do well.

Day Nine

"A photo of the item you last purchased."

I bought this sweater from an online shop. This sweater is simple, yet nice. I bought this about 3 weeks ago. That means, it has been so long since I do not shop. By the way, I haven't found out yet what is the meaning of "LUCK THE CHANCE MAY". Anyone?

So Long And Goodbye

This is the last day of me, being the volunteer of the Asian Games 2010. After all bad things I said about being a volunteer, actually it was not that bad. Meeting so many new people, making so many new friends, experienced so many new experiences, all those things are great!

When these all things are done, I bet we all are going to miss the "Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner" bus that brought our breakfast, lunch and dinner meal (which I dislike so much) and we (maybe) are going to miss being at the sports center, doing nothing but nothing :P

Here we go, pals. No more excuses for being a volunteer when you wanted to skip classes, no more waking up at 5.30 and also no more "Kun Lun Shan" free mineral water. Get back to our daily life!

Today me, Natalie and Jane went to the bookstore, and I bought a novel which is written in Chinese, the title is "三年K班" while the English title is "Goodbye in July". All written in Chinese characters. I wished I will be able to finish reading this book. Sooner or later. Just so you know, I spent almost an hour to finish reading only about twenty pages of this novel, while for reading Indonesian or English novel, I only took about an hour to finish more than 50 or maybe 100 pages. Haha. Natalie also bought a Harry Potter novel, which was "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone", also written in Chinese. I don't know if she really wanted to read that book, or if she only wanted to make it as her collection of books (she told me she wanted to collect Chinese version of Harry Potter).

By the way, November is almost over and from now on, I got to stay focused on Christmas celebration's preparation. There were only 16 more days before December 11th. Don't you think that time goes way too fast? I can not even catch up.

Day Eight

"A song to match your mood."

"War Of My Life"

Come out Angels
Come out Ghosts
Come out Darkness
Bring everyone you know

I'm not running
I'm not scared
I am waiting and well prepared

I'm in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of Time and there's no where to run

I've got a hammer
And a heart of glass
I got to know right now
Which walls to smash

I got a pocket
Got no pill
If fear hasn't killed me yet
Then nothing will

All the suffering
And all the pain
Never left a name

I'm in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of time and there's nowhere to run

I'm in the war of my life
At the core of my life
I've got no choice but to fight 'til it's done

No more suffering
No more pain
Never again

I'm in the war of my life
At the door of my life
Out of time and there's no where to run

I'm in the war of my life
I'm at the core of my life
Got no choice but to fight 'til it's done
So Fight on, fight on everyone, so fight on
Got no choice but to fight 'til it's done

I'm in the war of my life
I'm at the core of my life
I've got no choice but to fight 'til it's done

Day Seven

"Your dream wedding."

Okay, I will make this simple. Because this question is about my dream wedding, not what-kind-of-person-I-wished-I-will-marry, so I will not going to talk about my type of boy or anything. Let's stay focused. I am not a party person, so a big wedding reception is not that important for me (at least, for now :P). What will really matter for me is the wedding ceremony. I dreamed of me, wearing that white dress, and I will be the queen for that one day, and he will be the king (of course). Maybe my wedding day will not be so different from what other people used to do when they got married, but I really, really wished that when the pastor says, "You may now kiss your bride.", that kiss, it will be our first kiss. Ohh, do I wish too much?

Dear God, one day, I'll be on a plane to Korea, a nice summer trip with Dad and Mom, all paid with my own money. I will see their very big smile and I am going to smile as they do. Amen :)

Day Six

"A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet."

I'll skip this one. I do not want any pet :P

Four Kisses

Another class skipped. I have been such a bad student. I skipped one class today because me and some friends took a video shoot for our Youth service needs. I now do not even know if my very first priority as a student is to study :(

Another late-night way back home. I got to the dorm at almost 10.30 PM after all today activities. I better not to get used to this or if Mom knows, she will be mad at me :P

Felly and I went to Family Mart to buy tomorrow's breakfast (I hate volunteer's breakfast meal) and as we walked there, we saw a very beautiful night scene. No, no, it was not Guangzhou Tower. Car accident it is. What makes this accident so special is, there weren't only two cars, but FIVE cars! So, if there were five cars and each of them "kissed" the one in front of them, there will be "four kisses". My phone camera was not able to capture all the cars, but I did capture some of the cars.

beautiful, isn't it?

Anyway, I'll be going to sleep now. Got another volunteer shift waiting for me! Good night people. Don't forget to get yourself a nice warm blanket before going to bed because it is going to be a cold night. Happy go lucky <3
