Here's To 2018

Hiya! First few days of twenty nineteen, man. I know I have been missing from my blog this past year, and the reason why it happened was because there were quite a lot of things happening in my life so I barely had time to think about writing contents on this blog (partly because I was too lazy too lar, who am I kidding). Now as how I have always done my yearly reviews, here are some of my favorite moments and events that have happened in the year of 2018:

1. New Year at Bali
Spent the last days of 2017 and first days of 2018 there at the land of paradise. In fact, it was the only trip I managed to do last year (CNY mudik trip doesn't count) so that surely has made this trip (even) more memorable.

2. My First 5K Run + The Crazy Impromptu Trip
Err can't actually say that it was a run since what I did was simply walking. My 'fit' body couldn't stand running non-stop for 5 KM, I knew exactly why. After the 5K session, the kiddos and I decided to go for a crazy trip, driving 3 hours to West Sumatra just for a half an hour lunch (that didn't even taste that good) and then drove back for another 3 hours back to Pekanbaru. All that happened because no one dared to say 'no' to the idea and be the one who ruined the plan. And that was how all of us learned how to reject all the crazy ideas that came after this.

3. I Practiced Hand-Lettering
I have always had this interest on lettering for so long and finally this year I managed to put it into practice. By joining my first ever #30DaysOfBibleLettering challenge on Instagram, I am so glad that my skill has improved and though I still have so much room for more improvements, I am now pretty content that I can utilize this skill to make more hand-written cards for my loved ones.

4. I Started My First 'Real' Business
A couple of friends asked me to join them in a business plan and I said yes. I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to learn how a small business works and so it happened. There were so many things and processes that I had to go through but I am really thankful that I had people who supported me and helped me out with it. Business surely isn't a simple thing to maintain, but promise I'll try my best.

5. Him
After 8.5 years of being single, I am now officially back into a relationship... with the same guy I last dated LOL. It was a long and quite a goofy story, now looking back I sometimes still couldn't believe that this has really happened, still couldn't understand how universe managed to bring us back together, but I am really thankful. What I learned was sometimes what once was lost still can be found, even if you have no idea how.

6. More Friends Coming
A good friend of mine, Albert, came to visit on February since he had a flight schedule to Pekanbaru (he's a flight attendant, a very good one). And later that year, Kina also came to visit for her friend's wedding. So happy to have them here!

7. Officially A 27 Years Old
No fancy celebrations, no fancy cakes, no fancy everything. Just a thankful me :)

8. Friends Outings
We spent a lot of days together last year, from birthday lunches or dinners, to random barbecues, or just hang outs. I am so thankful that I have extra family members that I can share everything with and as what I always said, these guys never failed to put a smile on my face.

There were still a lot of other things that happened during the year but I'm not going to retell them here. But I'll surely remind myself to always cherish them and be thankful for them.

As for this new year, I’m not praying for days to become easy, but I do pray for the strength to walk through whatever that may come in the future and to always have faith. Good bye twenty eighteen. You’ve been one crazy ride.
